Freepik is seeking a visionary Associate AI Creative Director to lead our professional services team and creative initiatives across branding, advertising, social media, presentations, print, and digital platforms. In this influential role, you'll shape the future of AI-driven creativity by integrating cutting-edge generative tools into our design processes, enhancing quality and efficiency.

You'll inspire as both creator and mentor, balancing hands-on design work with strategic oversight. Working with leading North American brands, you'll drive cross-functional collaboration, develop innovative creative strategies centered on user needs, and help build scalable design practices rooted in experimentation, feedback, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Generate innovative concepts and creative assets using AI tools (image generation,video, audio, 3d, text-to-design, layout automation etc.) that align with brand identity and campaign objectives.
  • Develop and refine prompts to ensure high-quality, consistent creative outputs across diverse formats and visual styles.
  • Collaborate across creative teams to seamlessly integrate AI-generated content into production workflows, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead multidisciplinary projects from ideation through to final delivery, maintaining originality, consistency, and impact.
  • Provide clear creative guidance and actionable feedback, connecting execution closely with strategic intent.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop creative team members, emphasizing emotional intelligence, inclusivity, and clear communication.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation, fostering a test-and-learn approach that balances speed with meticulous craft.
  • Conduct client-facing presentations, articulating ideas clearly and building trust through strategic rationale and empathy.
  • Cultivate a psychologically safe and inclusive team environment, celebrating contributions, embracing diverse viewpoints, and creating opportunities for growth.
  • Identify and foster cross-functional collaboration opportunities, guiding clients toward cohesive, insight-driven creative solutions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, capable of clearly and supportively articulating creative ideas.
  • 5+ years experience in a creative leadership role, effectively managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with design tools, including generative AI, Freepik AI Suite, experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and key presentation software.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrating AI tools within a deliberate, thoughtful creative workflow.
  • Proven experience leading creative projects, mentoring teams, and contributing to overarching creative visions.
  • Skilled at providing and receiving constructive feedback with empathy and professionalism.
  • Comfortable engaging in strategic and creative discussions with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across branding, advertising, and presentation projects, highlighting experience with AI-enhanced creative processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail, creative integrity, and team well-being.
