About the Role
The Company is in search of an Associate Vice President for Research Operations (AVP-RO) to lead a team dedicated to ensuring excellence in research operations. The successful candidate will be a strategic and administrative leader, overseeing the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Research Protections and Compliance, and the Office of Research Administrative Systems. The AVP-RO will also be responsible for providing leadership, visibility, and collaboration on various committees and councils, both within the institution and across the University System of Maryland, particularly in the areas of policy development and related issues. This role is pivotal in supporting and advancing the company's research, compliance, and creative endeavors, and the ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a culture of innovation and discovery.
