Business Development Director - Hitech / Manufacturing Vertical

Our client is a Global System Integrator and we are currently assisting them in hiring a results-driven leader with a passion for driving sales and growth in the technology sector.

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to spearhead initiatives in the Technology Business Segments, which include Compute, Print & Electronics (CPE), Solar, Components and Contract Manufacturers, Semiconductors, and Network Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Lead new customer acquisition efforts by engaging with prospective clients and effectively presenting our value proposition.
  • Sales & Business Growth: Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and maximize market presence.
  • Account Management: Strengthen relationships with existing software customers to ensure high satisfaction levels and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to craft tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies in partnership with marketing, presales, and delivery teams.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay current with market trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives, within target organizations.
  • Deal Negotiation & Closure: Lead end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation to successful contract negotiations and closure.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15+ years of proven experience in sales or business development within IT, BPS, or consulting services.
  • Strong background in selling to large companies in the Technology Business Segments, including CPE, Solar, Components and Contract Manufacturers, Semiconductors, and Network Equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of the technology landscape, industry challenges, and opportunities.
  • Proven consultative sales approach with experience in solution selling.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Confidence and capability to lead and take ownership of the entire sales cycle.
