$4,741.00 - $5,949.00 per Month New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: 6/30/2025 Application Methods: Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) or By Mail/Drop-off Under the direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor or Leadworker, performs work above or below 100 ft on bridge structures, ladders, personnel hoists, platforms, and catwalks over highways or freeways. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform miscellaneous labor and equipment operation related to highway and facility maintenance. Work will be within eleven counties and may require up to 90% travel from HQ. Winter snow removal work is required. Sign Crew; operates maintenance and construction equipment requiring a Class A California Driver's License. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. May perform manual labor, operate handheld power tools, pavement breakers, and load/unload materials. Ability to operate lift bed trucks, personnel lift trucks, and digger derricks.

Working Conditions Position located at 1403 Furneaux Road, Olivehurst, Yuba County. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. The schedule is 4/10’s year-round. Work conditions include exposure to wind, rain, sleet, and snow. Overtime may be required for the best interest of the State. Minimum Requirements Refer to the Class Specification for detailed requirements for CALTRANS EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II. Valid California Driver's License (CDL) with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement required. Must pass a Drug Screening prior to hire. Possession of a valid Class A commercial driver’s license with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement is required. Verification of minimum qualifications will be conducted prior to interview/appointment. Include unofficial transcripts/diplomas if education is used for eligibility.
