We are looking for Chief Engineers. One with MD 1st certification. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall facilitation of sustained reliable service to prolong equipment life and systems by ensuring that: all equipment and systems are properly maintained; materials, supplies, and equipment, and all other resources are available and provided; PM Schedules are strictly adhered to and assigned properly; equipment repair history records are accurate and maintained in the work order system; equipment breakdown/failures are minimized; and all reports are completed within the designated timeframe and format.
The Chief Engineer develops repair methods and procedures; oversees the preventive and predictive maintenance programs; provides technical guidance and/or training to the O&M staff; oversees the O&M work center supplies and materials; and performs special tasks, as required. Performs skilled technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, controls, and distribution systems.
The Chief Engineer (CE) directly supervises all O&M work and staff. Work includes HVAC (including BAS), Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Life Safety, Elevators, Water Treatment, Locksmith services, Utilities Equipment/ Systems, Architectural/ Structural systems, and all other equipment and systems pertaining to operations and maintenance.
The Chief Engineer assigns on-site staff where required to accomplish the tasks assigned. Using the Work Order Schedule as a guide, the Chief Engineer allocates labor, material, and equipment wherever they are required. He is responsible for assuring the proper operation of all equipment and systems; responding to service calls; maintaining an aggressive Preventive Maintenance Program; and directly supervising all facility operations and maintenance subcontractors.

In conjunction with the Property Operations Manager meet or exceed the stated goals and objectives of the SFMS technical proposal and ensures that all O&M and subcontractor team members understand their roles in achieving Key Performance indicators.
Planning, scheduling work, and coordinating service requests and task assignments for the efficient deployment of the O&M workforce, including identifying all resources needed (labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies) to perform the work. Approving and documenting the purchase of goods and services.
The CE will participate in the selection of all staff, conduct annual performance evaluations, recommend promotions and terminations, and is responsible for recommending and implementing training of all maintenance staff.
Direct management of facility support services and ensures that all work is accomplished in accordance with SFMS environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
