Creative Arts Therapist - Limited permits welcome! Limited Permit - $29.38/hour Fully Licensed - $32.92/hour Full-time Monday-Friday. Must be flexible in working 2 evening shifts per week Article 31/Article 32 Glen Cove, NY

CEC assists adults diagnosed with mental illness in reaching the highest level of independence with the freedom to ASPIRE HIGHER in their hopes, dreams and accomplishments. We are currently seeking a few exceptional people who have a passion to create a meaningful impact in the lives of the amazing people we support. We have great opportunities for positive, motivated individuals to work in an OMH/OASAS outpatient clinic setting. In this position, you will: Responsible for person centered treatment planning and implementation of therapeutic group therapy programming. Provide individual and group treatment using creative arts therapy techniques in music, art, and dance. Plan and implement a structured experience to enhance patient self-awareness and self-expression. Encourage independent creative expression through the use of creative arts, music or related media. Maintain current clinical documentation on all patients' sessions. We require: Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy. NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, or limited permit. Minimum of one (1) year related experience, preferred. Experience providing art and other creative activities.
