Position Title: Full-Charge Bookkeeper (Contract-to-Permanent)
Location: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite per week)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation Range: $38.46 - $43.27 per hour
Urgency: Immediate need - critical to support financial year-end in June and address active clean-up of financial records.
PPosition Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and directly contributing to the organization's overall financial health. The position is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week onsite, and demands a proactive individual who can work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
oKey Responsibilities
Financial Management
+ Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including:
+ Accounts Payable (AP): Process 20-30 invoices weekly, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
+ Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage invoicing for tuition, donations, and grants with precision.
+ Oversee month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
+ Conduct multi-period reconciliations and handle financial clean-up for January 2025 retroactively through 2024.
+ Manage intercompany reconciliations and ensure compliance with tax filing requirements where applicable.
Software Proficiency
+ Utilize QuickBooks Online to process financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and produce reports.
+ Employ advanced Excel tools for financial analysis and reporting, ensuring data accuracy.
Collaboration & Reporting
+ Act as a primary liaison to the forensic accounting team and external CPA.
+ Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and required reports for both internal and external audiences.
Payroll (Bonus)
+ Experience with the Paylocity payroll system is a plus but not mandatory. The organization supports approximately 125 employees across bi-monthly pay cycles.

Required Experience & Skills
+ Proven experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
+ Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel for financial management and reporting.
+ Extensive knowledge of grant accounting and nonprofit compliance, including invoicing, documentation, and funding requirements.
+ Established expertise in financial reconciliations and conducting forensic-level financial clean-up.
