About the Role:

The Groomer at AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets through professional grooming services. This position involves not only grooming but also assessing the condition of animals' coats, skin, and overall health. The Groomer will work closely with pet owners to understand their specific needs and preferences, providing personalized care for each animal. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean and safe grooming environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Ultimately, the Groomer contributes to the overall satisfaction of pet owners and the well-being of their beloved companions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a recognized grooming school or equivalent experience in pet grooming.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a veterinary or animal care environment.
  • Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for a variety of dog and cat breeds.
  • Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues and communicating findings to pet owners.
  • Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.
