As a vital member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you will play an important role in our mission to improve healthcare for everyone.

In the role of a Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist, you will address a variety of mental health conditions typical of a diverse patient population. We are committed to providing a range of solutions to meet the specific needs of our workforce and the patients you will serve. Our organizational structure supports you by managing logistical tasks like credentialing and contracting, allowing you to focus primarily on delivering exceptional care.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Screen and assess patients for prevalent mental health and substance abuse disorders.
• Utilize various therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to treat mental health conditions.
• Regularly monitor treatment responses and track changes in clinical symptoms and any treatment-related side effects.
• Ensure accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation to comply with all regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
• Active and unrestricted license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional social work or clinical experience following your Master’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families.
• Proficient in using technology for professional communication and medical documentation (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS or other EHRs).
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a high level of effectiveness.

The salary for this position ranges from $58,800 to $105,000 annually, based on full-time employment, and additional benefits are available subject to eligibility requirements.
