Get to know The Pokémon Company International The Pokémon Company International, a subsidiary of The Pokémon Company in Japan, manages the property outside of Asia and is responsible for brand management, licensing, marketing, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, home entertainment, and the official Pokémon website. Pokémon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular children's entertainment properties in the world. Job Summary: The Project Manager will focus on managing the development and localization of TCG projects from conception to production. This position will act as the central point of contact across a cross functional team to provide streamlined communication and optimized schedules with a focus on continuous process improvement. FLSA Classification (US Only): Exempt People Manager: No What you’ll do Schedules Create, launch, and manage end to end project schedules for all TCG projects from project initiation through project completion Streamline processes and implement improvements across both live schedules and templates Communication Act as a central point of contact for cross functional teams to drive communication regarding project information, milestones, updates, changes, delays, etc. Schedule and facilitate cross functional team meetings to convey updates, resolve issues, complete project postmortems Project Management Responsible for day to day Project Management of all schedules/tasks to ensure on time project completion Point person to remove roadblocks preventing task completion by investigating issues, creating solutions, negotiating across teams, updating live schedules and communicating new plans from project initiation through project completion Actively employ risk management strategies to anticipate and resolve issues in advance Manage project recap process including data collection, meeting facilitation, issue resolution, new process implementation, and communication to upper management Process Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Manager (Program) to identify and address process gaps and bottlenecks within project workflows Capture project metrics and provide project data (qualitative and quantitative) and documentation to support Continuous Improvement analysis and initiatives Implement and test process changes / enhancements, offering feedback on adoption and effectiveness Create new and update existing documentation for revised workflows and SOPs Support the Continuous Improvement Program through process reviews, promoting best practices, and increasing cross-functional visibility of product development processes General Establish and maintain strong working relationships across the business units and all levels of the organization. Build trust with team members and drive the product development process to successful project completion. What you’ll bring 5-7 years of project coordination experience and/or equivalent experience with a proven ability to drive results; action oriented and problem solve General understanding of brand identity, product design and print development process Experience in Project Manager software such as MS Project, Workfront, or similar Passion for and knowledge of gaming industry Experience in entertainment/gaming, Trading Card Games (TCG) experience is preferred Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent working experience PMP certification/Six Sigma is a plus. Experience with PLM tool is a plus. You have a desire to stay current on technology trends and Information Technology concepts. Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $105,000.00 - $124,450.00 per year. The full range is $105,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
