Job Description

Position Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, control, and protection of materials and products throughout the manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution processes. This role ensures accurate inventory handling and supports overall production and shipping efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

* Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.

* Stage materials for production, ensuring timely delivery to the correct departments.

* Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying packing slips and reporting any discrepancies.

* Label and store materials properly and ensure inventory is rotated following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

* Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

* Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with safety standards.

* Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

* Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling.

* Inventory experience helpful

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred.

* Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
