Tool & System Use : Utilize compliance software, regulatory databases, and internal systems for tracking and reporting. Policy & Procedure Work : Draft, update, or review compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current regulations. Training & Guidance : Provide compliance guidance to business units or assist in developing training materials. Audit & Documentation : Prepare for internal or external audits by organizing documentation and evidence of compliance. Issue Resolution : Investigate and resolve compliance issues or incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Reporting : Compile compliance reports for management or regulatory bodies. Regulatory Research : Investigate new or changing regulations and assess their impact on the organization. Environmental Regulatory Compliance Manage state / local registrations for recycling programs. Oversee packaging compliance requirements. Accessibility Compliance Ensure products meet hearing aid capabilities, real-time text, and general accessibility standards. Collaborate with product managers on requirements. FCC Compliance Address federal / state regulatory requirements for sourced products. Public Safety & Ethics Manage Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), Prop 65, and conflict minerals reporting. Ensure adherence to health / human rights regulations. Program Development Establish scalable, repeatable compliance programs (prioritizing OR, CO, CA). Create policies / procedures for all 6 regulatory areas. Reporting & Communication Submit compliance reports to leadership and regulatory agencies. Interface with legal, state / federal agencies, and suppliers. Qualifications : Requires a base level of regulatory / compliance program experience Microsoft Suite (Excel / PPT / Word / Outlook) Preferred background : Legal / Business / Governmental Regulatory and / or Compliance Attention to detail, critical thinking, communication skills, organizational skills, proactive mindset 3+ years in regulatory compliance (environmental, FCC, accessibility). Proven work with state / federal / local agencies (e.g., navigating state-specific rules). Negotiation, auditing, and documentation skills Technical reporting skills (compliance tools / web portals). Able to present to senior leadership (SLT) and external vendors.
