Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse!

Exciting Opportunity Awaits! We’re thrilled to offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a relocation package for nurses with 1 or more years of experience! If you’re moving more than 100 miles, you’ll receive $5,000, or $2,500 if you’re relocating over 50 miles. (External Applicants Only)

As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will leverage your professional nursing knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care to our patients. Your expertise will shine through the application of the nursing process, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Clinical Excellence Focus:
  • Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical assessments.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Implement appropriate interventions to achieve expected patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate and document patient progress consistently throughout your shift.
  • Modify care plans based on evaluations and complete necessary documentation.
  • Demonstrate accountability for your practice and seek resources for self-development.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Promote professional development for yourself and your team members.
  • Share your clinical knowledge through teaching and mentorship.
  • Ensure patient safety through appropriate use of lift equipment and handling techniques.
  • Perform bedside lab testing and maintain compliance with hospital procedures.

Working Environment & Culture Focus

• Analyze clinical situations systematically and act to obtain necessary resources.
• Recognize when to seek assistance and utilize team resources effectively.
• Prioritize tasks based on patient needs and unexpected changes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to organize patient care from admission to discharge.
• Provide goal-focused shift reports and advocate for patients with physicians.
• Utilize effective communication strategies to enhance team performance.

Patient Education Focus

Your role will also involve:

• Assessing and adapting teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of patients and families.
• Ensuring patient safety by adhering to policies and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Consulting with hospital resources for specialized education.
• Utilizing the SVI patient education system to support patients and families.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• License/Certifications:
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training within 3 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days.
• Education: A college degree in nursing.
• Skills:
  • Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including word processing and email applications.
  • A friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with others.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $31.65 - $54.44 per hour . This range reflects our commitment to fair compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our team members.
