Overview: As an Accounting intern at Western Flyer Xpress, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our accounting team to learn and assist in the full life cycle Accounting Process including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Collections, and General Ledger

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation and execution of customer invoices
• Assist with Accounts Receivable, Payables, and Collections process
• Learn the accounting process and life cycle in a real world setting
• Assist with month end financial reports
• Post journal entries and reconcile balance sheets
• Assist with audits
• Collaborate with team on yearly forecasting efforts

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an Accounting, Finance, or related degree program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in the transportation and logistics industry.
