About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Research (VPR) to lead and advance its discovery and innovation enterprise. The VPR will be responsible for fostering a culture of research excellence, supporting the development of cutting-edge technologies, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. This role is pivotal in securing external funding, managing research compliance, and ensuring the institution's research activities align with its strategic goals. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, staff, and industry partners to enhance the company's research profile and impact. Candidates for the VPR position at the company should have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field, with a strong record of scholarly achievement and a proven track record in securing research funding. The role requires a visionary leader with the ability to inspire and mentor researchers, as well as to effectively communicate the value of research to a broad audience. Experience in technology transfer, commercialization, and fostering industry partnerships is highly desirable. The VPR will also be expected to have a deep understanding of the research landscape, both nationally and internationally, and to be adept at navigating the complex regulatory and ethical issues associated with research.
