About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and confident attorney to assist with taking and defending depositions in ongoing litigation matters. This is a temporary, part-time position ideally suited for someone with strong litigation experience who is looking for flexible, project-based work. You’ll work closely with our litigation team to prepare for and execute depositions that support our broader trial strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Review case files and deposition transcripts to prepare relevant questions and strategies
• Coordinate with in-house attorneys on case strategy and next steps
• Provide concise summaries and recommendations following each deposition
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal standards and firm protocols

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active member of the California Bar
• 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in plaintiff-side work
• Demonstrated proficiency in taking and defending depositions
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Experience in consumer protection, lemon law, or product liability is a plus
